General Provisions

1. Domestic Flights

1) Passengers may declare a value for checked baggage if its value exceeds CNY 100 per kilogram.

2) The maximum declared value per passenger is CNY 8,000.

2. International & Regional Flights:

1. Passengers may declare a value for checked baggage if its value exceeds USD 20 per kilogram.

2. The maximum declared value per passenger is USD 2,000.

3. The declared value must not exceed the actual value of the baggage.

4. If the Company disputes the declared value and the passenger refuses inspection, the Company reserves the right to refuse carriage.

5. Value declaration applies to entire baggage pieces only. Individual items inside baggage are not eligible for value declaration.

6. Carry-on baggage is not eligible for value declaration.

7. Baggage with a declared value is not counted toward the free baggage allowance.

1. A declared value surcharge applies to all declared value baggage.

2. The surcharge is 5‰ of the value exceeding CNY 100 per kilogram.

Formula:

Declared Value Surcharge = (Declared Value – CNY 100/kg) × Baggage Weight (kg) × 5‰.

Example:

A passenger declares CNY 750 per kg for 10 kg of checked baggage, then:

Surcharge: (750 – 100) × 10 × 5‰ = CNY 33.

Note: All surcharges are calculated in CNY and rounded to the nearest whole yuan.

Domestic Flights:

Baggage Delay: Compensation shall be provided in accordance with the carrier’s provisions on temporary living allowances;

Baggage Damage or Loss (Total or Partial): Compensation shall not exceed CNY 100 per kilogram. If the actual value is lower, compensation shall be based on the actual value.

International & Regional Flights:

Baggage Delay:

① Compensation shall be provided in accordance with the carrier’s provisions on temporary living allowances;

② Compensation may also be offered within the applicable limit in line with relevant international conventions and the passenger’s verified loss.

Baggage Damage or Loss (Total or Partial): The compensation limit is USD 20 per kilogram (or equivalent foreign currency). If the actual loss is lower, compensation shall be based on the actual loss.
